Iconic honey from all over the world. Lets start with Bulgaria and their wide range of mountainous flavours, from Lavender, Thistle and Coriander to Wild Flower and Coriander.
Honey is the number one energy source amongst other foods as a 100 percent of it is absorbed from the body. There are about 320 calories in 100 grams of honey. The suggested daily dose is 1 to 2 grams of honey per kilogram bodyweight. The crystallization of honey is a natural process. When liquefying it, the temperature should not be above 40-42⁰C so the beneficial organic substances are not destroyed. An old Bulgarian saying: “There is no sickness where there is honey.”
Honey helps to preserve the healing properties of the plants it was collected from.
